Cryotherapy is a localized state-of-the-art cryotherapy chamber that surrounds your body (from the neck down) with -320F hyper-cooled air exposure to trigger the body's natural healing processes.  Far superior to ice baths, cryotherapy flushes toxins and enriches red blood cells with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. Working to decrease inflammation, increase cellular survival, decrease pain and spasms and promote overall health. It is a non-invasive option for people seeking faster recovery and better health.

Cryosauna is a revolutionary and cutting-edge technology endorsed by many  doctors, professional athletes/teams, Dr. Oz, The Doctors TV Show & ESPN for over two decades

Mohler Recovery believes in giving outstanding customer service. Our friendly staff will greet you upon arrival, and answer  any questions you may have. We will then  ask you to sign a waiver and take your blood pressure.

You will be shown to the cryo room, where a Recovery Specialist will go over the instructions with you. Don't worry you will be given total privacy to remove all clothing besides socks, underwear, gloves and Slippers. (Socks, gloves and slippers will be provided)

Once you are in protective clothing and ready for the cryo chamber you'll ring the bell 2x. A Recovery Specialist will then return and start the cryo chamber and stay with you, talking you through the entire process. Modesty is very important to us! We will only see your face, as the rest of your body will be in the cryo chamber.

While you stand in the cryo chamber for 2-3 minutes, your body is enveloped with extreme dry cold air. The extreme cold causes the body to direct blood flow away from your extremities and to your organs. After your session, your body recirculates your blood and instantly warms back up to regular temperature. Once your session is over our Recovery Specialist will leave the room, allowing you to exit the cryo chamber and get dressed in complete privacy!

Robes, towels, sandals, lockers, water and anything else needed before or after your sessions.

  • How does cryotherapy work?  We use an upright, step-in whole body cryotherapy which uses gas from nitrogen to rapidly lower the skin surface temperature to about 32F. The Cryosauna temperature ranges between -238°F to -274°F or 110°C to 150°C for 2 to 3 minutes of treatment. Skin receptors sense the cold and send signals to the brain to promote regulatory functions of the body and release anti-inflammatory proteins and calming endorphins into the bloodstream.

  • How often should I do cryotherapy to achieve results?  To achieve the optimal result from your Whole-Body Cryotherapy sessions we recommend a minimum of 10 cryo sessions a month. Try to go 2-3 times a week, or every other day. This routine will boost your body into responding the way it’s supposed to. We have found this to be the best routine for our cryo clients.

  • What do I wear? You will be provided with dry socks, gloves & slippers for your feet. All metal and Jewelry must be removed. To optimize your body’s reaction you will need to expose as much skin surface as possible.

  • Who should use Cryotherapy? Whole Body Cryotherapy benefits everybody from elite athletes seeking muscle recovery to people with chronic pain and inflammatory conditions, and those seeking to speed up the metabolism and rejuvenate the skin. Cryotherapy is used post-surgery to accelerate healing and reduce pain without the side effects of pain medications. Younger clients, 14-18, can use cryotherapy with a parent's consent.

  • How much time do I need for a Cryotherapy session? You are only in the cryosauna for 2-3 minutes. Existing client appointment is 15 minutes. New client appointment is 30 minutes.

  • What is the origin of Cryotherapy?  Whole body cryotherapy was originally developed in Japan in 1978 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and the benefits have been studied and refined in Europe since that time. Sports, Health and Spa professionals in the U.S. use Cryotherapy for inflammation reduction, muscle recovery, pain management and skin care.

  • Is Cryotherapy a proven treatment?  Cryotherapy has been used for around thirty years in Europe and Asia. In fact over the past seven years more than two million sessions have been completed in Europe alone. Professional athletes in the NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL have made Cryotherapy an important part of their recovery. Multiple research studies have been published in medical journals about the effects of whole body cryotherapy, and in many European countries the treatments are covered by medical insurance policies. In the United States, whole body cryotherapy is considered a non-medical wellness modality, and health insurances do not offer reimbursements for the service.

  • How can cryotherapy help with recovery from an injury?  Depending on the severity of your injury, recovery times vary. Most people find that their recovery times improve drastically.

  • How does Cryotherapy compare to an Ice Bath?  The Body’s response to cryotherapy sessions is a very different response. 2-3 minutes of extreme, dry cold reaches only the top skin layers and cold receptors causing the brain to restrict blood flow to an internal cycle. Cryotherapy causes the body to release anti-inflammatory proteins and endorphins resulting in super-charged blood. In an ice bath, fifteen minutes of cold water initially causes the body to move blood to the extremities and results in a chilled lowering of the body’s core temperature. Ice baths do no supercharge the blood.

  • Is Nitrogen gas dangerous to humans?  No. Nitrogen is a non-toxic gas. The air that we breathe is made up of 16% Oxygen, 1% Hydrogen, 78% Nitrogen and 5% other components. Nitrogen is common and safe.

  •  Is cryotherapy comfortable? Cryotherapy involves dry, hyper-cooled air flowing over the skin. Your muscles or organs are never frozen. Before entering the Cryosauna, clients are instructed on proper protective clothing if necessary. Privacy is maintained as only the head is visible. You will feel a dry gaseous cold. It is considered well-tolerated. Cryotherapy improves circulation throughout the body and stimulates production of brown fat, so your future ability to tolerate cold should improve.

  • How do I feel after a session?  During your cryo session, the brain receives cold signals from the skin and triggers the auto-preservation mechanism within the body. This causes the release of endorphins, the hormones that make us feel alert and energetic into the bloodstream which relax the body and flush toxins away. This process is responsible for the feel good and energetic mood of the client which can last up to 8 hours. Many clients expressed having a euphoric feeling immediately after and the best night of sleep after a Cryo session.

  • Can I catch a cold from Whole Body Cryotherapy?  No. The immediate cold impact of cryotherapy will raise the internal body temperature for a short period of time. The overall stimulation of the immune system can actually help decrease the severity and frequency of future colds

  • Will I feel claustrophobic in the Cryosauna?  No, you shouldn’t. Your entire head remains exposed and above the Cryosauna. The door will not. If need you can always push the door open and step out. A staff member is there through the entire process until the session has ended.

  • Do I have to take a shower before or after a session?  No, you do not. Showering is not necessary after cryotherapy. The procedure is dry and does not make your skin wet.
