• What do I need to know before I come in for a Ozone session? Drink plenty of water prior to your session. Try not to wear  heavy lotions, perfume or deodorant the day of your session. It is important to NOT  eat a heavy meal later than one full hour prior to coming in for your session, so that digestion is not disturbed or upset by the internal heat you will experience. 

  • What do I need to wear to my session?  You may want to change into loose comfortable clothes before you leave, some body's continue to sweat for a good 20 minutes after your session.  While in the sauna you will be naked and sitting on clean white towels. A fun aspect of doing sauna sessions is when you get out you can see how much unwanted waste has come out of you as the white towels are now discolored with toxins that were once in your body, yea!

  • Are there any contraindications to using the Ozone Sauna Therapy? Yes, there are a few precautions to keep in mind. Because of the increase in cardiovascular activity caused by the high heat, for people with high blood pressure, heart disease or other cardiovascular problems please talk to your doctor first. There is plenty of research to show saunas help cardiovascular issues but it is always good to check in first with your doctor.  In addition, the treatment is not advised for pregnant women. If you have been working out, be sure that your body has had time to cool down before exposing it to the heat of a sauna. 

  • Is there an age restriction for Ozone Sauna Therapy? Minors must be at least 14 years old to use any service at Mohler Recovery.  A parent of a minor between the ages of 14 and 17 must sign, in person at Mohler Recovery, a waiver of liability for the minor before the minor may use any service.  

  • How often should one use the Ozone Sauna?  The Ozone Sauna can be used up to 5x a week with great results; in fact, if someone is on a detox program of 10 or 21 days. It is very important to come often. A schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off, and then on again 5 days on (a 10 pack of sessions) is idea to get you started. If your schedule won't allow for this, plan your sessions as close together as possible. The reason for fairly intense at first is to get the oxygen levels back up in the body and to kick start the metabolic process of sweating and detoxing. Second, it allows the body to have the chance to dump out years of accumulated toxins through the skin safely and easily. 

  • Will someone be in the room assisting me while I have my session? YES! The attendant will be giving you water to drink or  a cool cloth for your face and neck if needed. You will be monitored throughout the session to assure your comfort and safety and, if needed, adjustments to the temperature in the sauna will be made. 

  • How is the Ozone Sauna cleaned between clients? Naturally sanitation is very important, so after every client session the sauna is cleaned and wiped down using a spray of a natural, nontoxic disinfectant. The ozone itself will saturate the inside of the cabinet for disinfecting. White towels are placed under your feet and under your body. The towels are washed so that they are thoroughly clean and fresh for the next client.

  • How Is Exercise Sweating Different From Ozone Sauna Sweating? When you exercise the body sweats; evaporation of the sweat cools your body down. When you sweat in the sauna, there is no evaporation of sweat, which enables your body to reach higher temperatures. This is what makes the ozone sauna so incredible! Your head is exposed while in the sauna to keep your head cool, so that you can feel more comfortable.  

  • Other things you need to know and may not think to ask? Try not to wear heavy cologne, perfume, underarm deodorant, or lotions on the day of your session. These will absorb into your body even more as your pores start to open up to the heat, counteracting what we are trying to accomplish. It is important to point out that the ozone sauna is of the type where the head protrudes from the top of the chamber; the individual is therefore not breathing the ozone/steam mixture. One should remain in the sauna for at least 20 minutes, but never longer than 30 min. Taking a steam sauna has many beneficial effects, but as in most other cases, more is not necessarily better—30 minutes maximum whether ozone is used or not.  ​You will feel amazing after your session—light and clean and with a new sense of well-being. 

  • Do I need to be ill to use Ozone? Ozone could be used to maintain health while one is not suffering from any ailment. We are all oxygen starved while humans have adapted beautifully to 17% oxygen in breathing air from the initial 30% when we started as oxygen dependent creatures. At present we are all in jeopardy, oxygen concentrate is going down from 17% to 14% with increased pollution. We will need protection against this. Ozone is ideal to overcome the shortage. It compensates for the pollution and provides us with extra oxygen.  It is be a good idea to have ozone treatments periodically, like ozone bath and rectal ozone infusions. This practice will help maintain one's health." 

  • How long has ozone been around? Ozone was discovered in 1840. Since then it was used for deodorization,color removal, taste and odor removal, turbidity reduction, organics removal, microflocculation, , and most commonly, bacterial disinfection and viral inactivation.and sewage treatment, In the first world war it was used to for wound cleansing, with this the regular medical use of ozone started."

  • Should I be on a special diet when I receive ozone therapy? It is very useful for the success of ozone therapy to have a healthy diet. This way part of ozone given need not be wasted dealing with the unwanted substance in the food consumed.If special diet means healthy balanced diet and not the junk most of us eat, but then even if one is not receiving ozone one should be on a special diet i.e a diet consisting of unprocessed and un-poisoned food stuffs. A healthy diet should consist of complex carbohydrates 20 %, fat 10% or less fat and mixed protein and nutrients. 

  • Is the increased amount of oxygen which ozone therapy provides good for my body? What physical changes can I expect? The extra oxygen that is available to the tissues during ozone therapy is very beneficial. Tissues that have marginal amount of oxygen for their work welcome extra oxygen.   • How long will my Ozone session last?  You will be in the Ozone Session for 20 minutes. However, your time with us will total out to 30 mins due to 10 mins of prep work to get you into the machine.
